Real Madrid’s new signing David Alaba gave the reason why he chose the former captain Sergio Ramos jersey number four at the Santiago Bernabéu.

 

Alaba, who was unveiled by Real Madrid on Wednesday, said he accepted the number of Ramos currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain because the club told him it was the only one available. The Austrian international also said that this number is a big motivation for him, adding that he wants to pay tribute to him.

 

Alaba came to Real Madrid from Bayern Munich. “This is a number (Ramos’s No. 4 jersey) is a big motivation for me, and I want to respect it,” Alaba said in a speech on Wednesday. David Alaba reached an agreement with Real Madrid “Real Madrid told me that only four are available. “Ramos used this number to become a leader. This is a headache for everyone,” Alaba said. “I want to be David Alaba,” Alaba added. “This is a dream come true for me, this is the best club in the world.”

 

Alaba joined Real Madrid from Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich.
