Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, paid a condolence visit to the Akinlalu community in Ife North Local Government Area of the state, where three residents were reportedly killed by operatives of the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Operation Amotekun Corps.Adeleke led members of his cabinet, top security chiefs, and lawmakers from the Osun State House of Assembly to the community to sympathise with the bereaved families and residents affected by the tragic incident.

During the visit, the governor met with the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Oloyede Aborisade, and other community leaders, expressing deep sorrow over the killings and pledging the government’s support for the victims and their families.
The governor, who said he was in the United States when the incident occurred on September 30, 2025, described the shooting as unfortunate.
“I was pained when this happened. I came here directly to tell you how touched I am. I am so sorry that this kind of thing happened. I brought everyone here to show that you are important. I have not even rested before coming to commiserate with you,” Adeleke said.He called for a minute’s silence in honour of the deceased and assured residents that justice would be served.“
All those involved in the fatal shooting will face the full wrath of the law,” the governor declared.
