I asked Rema to convince Don Jazzy to sign me – Khaid

Khaid, a musician also known as Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, asked Rema from Mavin Records to help him get a contract with the company. He sent him a video of him rapping and hoped he would show it to Don Jazzy, a music producer. Khaid talked about his difficulties as a musician on the Zero Conditions podcast. He offered Rema N1 million to help him get a record deal with Mavin, but he didn’t reply to his messages. Khaid is currently signed with Neville Records under Sydney Talker. He made the hit song “Anabella.”

He said; “Rema if you are seeing this, please take heart. I actually went to Rema’s [Instagram] DM one day with my old account and sent my freestyle video to him. I said, ‘Bro, I know that you trap like me. Please, help me show this video to Don Jazzy. Let him sign me so that we will be in the same record label.’

“He didn’t see the message. At that time, I was texting him with all emotions in me, bro. I was texting him with prayers. I was willing to give him my first 1 million.
